Dr. Ehrillimbal:

My recent review of the administrative organization of Rose Bay Psychiatric Hospital has revealed an existing contract between your organization and the hospital, pursuant to the care of three patients. As these patients are no longer residents at Rose Bay, I am terminating your contract, effective immediately. You will receive a final statement from our accounting department after the end of the month, as well as a full refund of any outstanding funds.

The case files of Jerry McElholn and Francis Barrlis have been sealed but for such access as the Berkeley Police deems necessary. I will refer your office to them if you should query about those case files. Philip Kendrick's files are protected by the confidentiality statutes of the State of California, and as such, you will need both a court order and a signed affidavit from Mr. Kendrick himself should you wish to see those records.

Dr. Herquiest is no longer employed by the Rose Bay Psychiatric Hospital. With the revocation of his license and the ensuing legal actions that have arisen from his negligence, the Board of Directors felt it was impossible for the hospital to function effectively under such leadership. This letter serves as notice that Dr. Herquiest is under a gag order from the Superior Court of San Francisco, concerning all and every aspect of his employment at Rose Bay. Any attempt by your office to contact him will be interpreted as a willful disregard for the court order, and will be dealt with accordingly.

Personally, I appreciate your office's efforts to facilitate the care and treatment of Mr. McElholn, Mr. Barrlis, and Mr. Kendrick, and I want to offer my condolences for the deaths of Mr. McElholn and Mr. Barrlis. The events of May were tragic and avoidable.
